چکیده
Marginal and internal adaptation are parameters of crucial importance to the success prosthetic crowns. Automatized process creates an expectative superior or equivalent results compared restorations manufactured by conventional lost-wax technique. The purpose this study was evaluate marginal (cement space) metal-ceramic crown copings produced by (LW) direct metal laser sintering (DMLS) techniques. An artificial lower first molar prepared for a full crown, duplicated in plaster scanned. Twenty were fabricated cobalt-chromium two techniques (n=10). filled with low viscosity silicone seated on tooth, resulting replica space. pellicle formed embedded heavy body silicone, sectioned captured means stereomicroscope at 50x magnification, according technique (RT). Shapiro-Wilk test followed Holm-Sidak used statistical analysis (α=.05). presented no difference between LW (101.5 ± 41.6) DMLS (86.3 39.9) groups (p=0.24). Conventional showed significantly occlusal (p<0.008) axial spaces (p<0.03). Measurements all regions numerically larger values than that defined during design group. Both within clinically acceptable.

Effect of Core Thickness and Porcelain Sintering on Marginal Adaptation
Background and aim: Marginal adaptation affects the long-term success of full-coverage restorations. This study aimed to assess the effect of porcelain sintering and zirconia core thickness on the marginal adaptation of all-ceramic restorations. Materials and methods: In this in-vitro experimental study, a standard brass die, 7 mm in length and 5 mm in diameter, was fabricated using a milling ...
متن کاملMarginal and internal adaptation of zirconium dioxide ceramic copings and crowns with different finish line designs.
The present study evaluated the marginal and internal adaptation of single-tooth zirconium dioxide (ZrO2) ceramic copings or crowns with three different finish line designs. Twenty-four steel dies were prepared for maxillary central incisor crowns with the following finish line designs: shoulder (S), rounded shoulder (RS), and chamfer (C) preparations. Twenty-four standardized ZrO2 ceramic copi...
متن کاملThe influence of framework design on internal and marginal gap width of anatomic and nonanatomic metal copings fabricated by selective laser sintering
In spite the fact that conventional slip-cast crowns are still largely used in everyday practice, and these techniques had shown their efficiency, selective laser sintering is a new technology which arouse more and more interest in prosthetic dentistry. One of the key factor which determines clinical success is the marginal and internal fit of fixed dental prostheses who influences the long-ter...

STATEMENT OF PROBLEM Metal-ceramic crowns are most commonly used as the complete coverage restorations in clinical daily use. Disadvantages of conventional hand-made wax-patterns introduce some alternative ways by means of CAD/CAM technologies. PURPOSE This study compares the marginal and internal fit of copings cast from CAD/CAM and conventional fabricated wax-patterns. MATERIALS AND METHO...
